THE POWER SLUICE DETAILED OVERVIEW     We are proud to offer a product that actually does what it is intended to do: CATCH AND RETAIN GOLDNot only that, but it does it in a way that is simple to set up and easy to use.          In designing the CC690 we steered clear of duplicating existing equipment. Nor did we place a stream sluice on a stand and brand it a "power sluice". Rather, AME designed the CC690 to be a power sluice from the ground up. Specifically, great weight in our design was given to Yukon placer gold recovery studies done by researchers in the 1980's and 1990's. These researchers conducted tests of existing placer gold recovery operations to determine which equipment designs were most efficient in retaining gold of all sizes. Their tests were done using irradiated gold particles to enable tracking of each gold piece being captured, or not, by the recovery equipment. We are confident that by basing our design around such quantitative studies, as opposed to guesswork or tradition, we will aid the small scale miner in extracting the greatest percentage of gold possible from the gravels he feeds into the CC690.          Existing sluice designs rely mainly on gravity to capture gold. With the CC690, not only is the force of gravity at work to trap gold, but the very force of the water itself is used to create high energy vortices that trap and hold gold particles against the matting. These forces combine to help the smaller particles work their way deep into the looped, vinyl fibers of the matting and on down to the grooves of the underlying, v-ribbed rubber mat where they remain until it is time to perform the clean up operation.          Technically speaking, the CC690 is a water operated, centrifugal concentrator and is capable of processing large volumes of material without the need for pre-classification. It has been made as user friendly as possible, in that it allows for ease of transport, set-up and clean-up. No tools are required for use and there are no small parts to lose. All materials used in the construction of the CC690 were chosen for their corrosion resistance, quality and durability. Altogether this makes for a piece of equipment that will stand up to abuse and still survive for season after season.DESIGN FEATURES
